ABOUT
LEGACY The
Legacy program, founded in 1997, was established to motivate
and develop all our program participants in the world of All-Star
Competitive cheerleading while also building their self-esteem
and confidence. Each
year, our program continues to help our participants to develop
their individual skills to their own personal best while also learning
lessons in teamwork and unity. All Mini, Junior, and
Senior Legacy Teams
are first come, first serve placement teams. Anyone interested
in cheering for these teams will be placed on them regardless of
current skills or ability. The 2005-2006
teams from youngest to oldest, are: The Mini (or
Youth) team is the newest addition to the Legacy family.
Minis are the youngest cheerleaders, starting at age 4 and
going through 4th grade. This team is intended to introduce
younger participants to the fun and excitement of cheerleading,
while developing their basic cheerleading and tumbling knowledge. The Legacy
Junior Team was founded in 2001 and has since had 3 strong
seasons bringing home two MAJOR National titles and numerous
first place finishes. This Co-Ed team is a traveling
team participating in regional and national competitions.
Juniors are typically 5th through 8th graders.. Senior The Legacy
Senior Team had its first season in 2002 and has continued
to gain momentum each year bringing home a number of first
place titles in the 2004-2005 Season. Seniors are
usually high school students. The Senior team is also
a traveling team that participates in both regional and
national competitions. The original
Legacy team returned in 2004! The Open team is for participants
who have graduated from high school and want to continue cheering
at the collegiate level. The Legacy Open Team is
a tryout for placement team, holding spots for the most elite
cheerleaders in the area. |
